Curriculum Vitae

Sohaila is a graduate of the University of Zurich, Faculty of Medicine. She has been a PhD student at the IBME since 2009. Her main research interest is the ethics of non-heart-beating organ donation and her PhD project combines empirical with theoretical work. She is a recipient of the MD-PhD scholarship of the Swiss National Science Foundation as well as a scholarship holder from the Swiss Study Foundation (Schweizerische Studienstiftung). Besides studying for her PhD, Sohaila teaches medical ethics to Bachelor and Master students at the University of Zurich.

Sohaila is a former Fellow (2011/12) from the Fellowship Program of the Division of Medical Ethics, Harvard University, USA.
