Research

The institutes research focusses on questions on the fundamentals of theological ethics as well as distinct fields of applied ethics. An emphasis is put on biomedical ethics, political ethics, and economic ethics.

The Research-Seminar is a discussion-space for students, postgraduates, and university teachers. Recent contributions as well as classical texts from theological, philosophical, and applied ethics are read and discussed together. It is held bi-weekly.

During the FS 2023 the topic is Christoph Menke: Theorie der Befreiung, Frankfurt a.M. 2022.

The Doc- and PostDoc-Colloquium discusses current and ongoing research-projects. The colloquium is open to students interested in pursuing a doctorate. It is held once every semester for two days.
